More Play for Paterson, NJ

On Saturday October 24th 2015, Alexandra’s Playground came together with more than 200 volunteers from the Paterson community to build a much needed playground for PS#29 in Paterson, NJ.  This playground fills a huge void of safe play facilities in this community.

“This playground will enhance our students’ experience and provide the community with a safe place where they can take their children to play,” said Jorge Ventura, Principal of PS#29. “We want our school to be a community school where stakeholders feel like we are here to provide resources and serve our purpose toward improving the quality of life for everyone that surrounds us! This playground will help us to be that school and cement PS#29 as a community resource.”

This is the first playground for this school and its surrounding neighborhood. In addition to benefiting the 309 Kindergarten through Grade 4 students during school hours, the playground will remain open to the community outside of school hours.
