A New Playground for Berkeley Township

On Saturday June 20th 2015, 100 volunteers gathered at Butler Beach in Berkeley Township to begin the installation of a new playground. Donors and supporters of Alexandra’s Playground joined  members of the U.S. Army Junior ROTC program from Central Regional High School, volunteers from St. Barnabas Knights of Columbus, Council 8603, Boy Scout Troop 76, township police officers, township committee members and residents. With tools in hand volunteers eagerly began laying borders, moving wood chips and assembling swings.

The new playground replaces one at the same site decimated in 2012 by Super storm Sandy. We worked with Kompan, a provider of state-of-the-art playground equipment to design and install the playground, which includes three swings, a pirate ship themed central unit with climbing equipment and slides, a super nova and spinner bowl.
